-14 mThe one idea

Every cove works the same way. The island stops at the rock.

Santa Eulalia gets loud from May. The gyms feel it first: the floor fills, the racks go, and the price climbs in the exact months you most want to train. Cala is built the other way round. One room cut into the quiet, that works the same in August as it does in February.

-18 mThe floor

Barbells, plates, and more than one rack.

The island's own forums ask for the same thing every year: a decent free weight section, real barbells, and racks you do not have to wait for. That is the whole floor.

  • Multiple racks, so August is not a queue
  • Dumbbells that keep going past where hotel gyms stop
  • Calibrated plates, benches, and room to actually use them
  • Chalk allowed

The terrace

Half of it is outside.

Sea air, open sky, and space to work where a basement gym would put a wall. Mornings before the heat, evenings after it.

  • Open air platform for carries, sleds and conditioning
  • Shade through the middle of the day
  • Open early and open late, through the summer

-34 mQuestions

The things people actually ask.

Do I need a Spanish bank account?
No. That is the single most common complaint about joining a gym on this island, and it does not apply here. Any card, from any bank, anywhere.
I am here for a week. Can I just train?
Yes. A day pass or a week pass, no contract, and no membership left running after you fly home.
Will it be packed in August?
There is a cap on members for exactly that reason. The floor is sized so you are not queuing for a rack in the one month everyone is on the island.
When does it open?
Soon, and the founding list hears first. Everyone on it gets the opening date and the founding rate before it goes public.
Where exactly is it?
Santa Eulalia. The full address goes out with the opening date, to the list first.
